John Ayles found guilty on an indictment for breaking into the dwelling house of John White in the parish of Boreham on 24th April 1749; and stealing therefrom a watch (valued at £3), another watch (valued at 18d), a seal (valued at 2d), 2 Portuguese gold coins (each with a value of 36/-), 3 gold Moidores (each with a value of 27/-), 1 Portuguese gold coin (value 18/-), 4 gold guineas and 10/6 in money numbered.
